In Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro, you can easily create vocal doubles using the Unison feature.
Additionally, the Choir Voice Collections offers specialized features for choral arrangements, enabling the creation of more natural choruses.
- When using the Unison Function with traditional solo voice products, you can achieve a doubling effect that sounds like the same singer has recorded multiple takes.
- In Choir voices, multiple singers are included in a single product. Increasing the number of unison voices produces the effect of many voices singing simultaneously. Additionally, timing and pitch variations can be finely adjusted.
The Unison feature is not available for version 1-compatible voices.
¶ Unison Function Basics
Adjust the number of unison singers and the distance between singers in the Voice Panel. This applies per Note Group.
The piano roll will display a combined waveform for all singers.
The pitch curve will show the pitch variation of all unison singers as a thin line, while the average pitch is displayed as a thicker line.
Selecting multiple note groups in the arrangement area allows you to change the number of unison singers for all selected groups at once.
Combining the Room Sound feature in the Effects Panel allows you to create even more immersive chorus effects.
¶ Choir Voice Collections Exclusive Features
¶ Select Voice Parts
The Choir Voice Collections contains four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass.
You can select whic part to use for the current note group via the Voice Panel.
¶ Swap Singers
The Choir Voice Collections includes multiple singers for each part.
Click the [Shuffle Members] button to shuffle choir members and their positions.
¶ Choir Spread
While using the Choir Voice Collections, you can adjust the timing and pitch spread for each note.
Select a note and edit it in the [Choir Spread] section of the Notes Panel.
[Phrase End] can only be adjusted when the selection includes the last note of a phrase (a note that is not adjacent to the next note).
¶ Split Unison into Tracks
While the Unison feature allows assigning multiple singers to each note group, you can also split each singer into separate tracks. This enables adjusting each singer's performance individually.
- Right-click the track header and select [Split Unison into Tracks]. This menu appears only when a note group using the Unison feature exists on the track.
- If the number of singers is set to 3 or more, you can set the number of singers per track after splitting.
- New tracks are created, and the original note group is muted.
After splitting, note groups remain linked, so edits to notes or control points will automatically update in other linked groups.

The mixer volume is adjusted to maintain the original volume of the split tracks.
Additionally, if a track contains note groups not using the unison function, they will not be split and remain in the original track.
